'I'd love to play James Bond': Tom Hardy wants the role of 007 if Christopher Nolan will direct

After Daniel Craig hangs up his special agent badge and retires to a life of non action roles, we have the perfect replacement.
British actor Tom hardy has thrown his hat in the ring to take over the James Bond mantle when his countryman quits the role.
Hardy, 34, has admitted that he would jump at the chance to play England's most famous spy and all round ladies man.

In an interview with Verity Geere on Magic 105.4 Breakfast Show, he said: 'I’d love to play Bond with Chris Nolan director or something, it would be awesome.'
Hardy worked with Nolan on the hit film Inception and stars in the next Batman movie, Dark Knight Rising, again helmed by the British director.
Despite his growing success on the big screen, the father-of-one said he would not encourage people to get involved in acting.

Speaking at the Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards, he said: 'It’s a challenge, I don’t think I’d advise anybody to get into the acting world. It is possible, it’s about meeting the right people.
'But would I advise them to act – no, I don’t want them to have my job, it's competition, I don’t care where you’ve come from its dog eat dog,' he joked.
The This Means War actor also spoke about the new beard that he has been sporting and revealed that he intends to keep it for years to come.
He said: 'I’m growing my beard, I’m going into bearded characters now ‘cause I’m running out of characters… I’m going to keep growing it for a couple of years.'
